BBC World Service World Book Café: Dublin

We are delighted to host a special recording of BBC World Service’s World Book Café here at MoLI. The show explores cities through the lives of writers who live and work there. Writer and journalist Roisin Ingle will be joined on stage by novelist Naoise Dolan, publisher and author Sarah Davis-Goff and others, to find out what it’s like to be a writer in Dublin. In a city with a rich literary heritage we’ll be hearing from some of the new generation of authors about their versions of Dublin, and what the city means to them.

Please note that the show is recorded in front of an audience and will be edited for broadcast on BBC World Service Radio.

Bright Sparks Creative Bursts #7: Hidden Stories

In this Bright Sparks Creative Burst explore hidden stories by using everyday junk found around the house to inspire us to create some original pieces of work. With a little inspiration from Sarah Crossan’s #wearethepoets postcards, Sarah Webb uses blackout poetry and highlights words to make a poem. Download the materials to create some poetry or prose of your very own!
