Join us on Thursday, 28 October, at 7pm for a discussion about how vampires, ghosts and the undead continue to inform depictions of the body, maternity and sexuality in contemporary Irish women’s writing. Led by Dr Katie Mishler, the event will feature writers Sarah Davis-Goff, Doireann Ní Ghríofa and Sophie White. Please note that while the in-person event is now sold out, the event will be livestreamed – book your place using the link below!

In this episode, Deirdre Sullivan, author of the upcoming Savage Her Reply — a retelling of The Children of Lir — gives us the nuts and bolts of retelling tales, and explains how words can’t be fixed if they aren’t there.
The series kicks off with a bitesize masterclass from Dave Rudden. Author of Knights of the Borrowed Dark series, Dave shows us how to create a compelling main character.
