Secondary Schools, Youthreach and Training Centres

We are delighted to partner with the Maples Group to offer free self-guided tours and in-person workshop experiences for students in the secondary cycle.

Here at MoLI, we are committed to youth creativity! Our ‘Shut Your Eyes and See!’ programme supports teachers with curricular art strands, literacy and the personal and creative development of students.  ‘Shut Your Eyes and See!’ was originally launched in September 2019 and was initially only made available to primary school children, however, with sponsorship from the Maples Group, MoLI can now expand the enriching programme to secondary level schools.

Secondary School Visits to MoLI, in partnership with Maples Group

Book in for a workshop for free: ‘Shut your eyes and see’ is our secondary school programme for 1st – 3rd years. This experience includes a workshop and tour and takes place in MoLI on St Stephen’s Green. They begin at 1pm and finish at 2.30pm on Tuesdays during term time. Our max capacity for school groups is 25. Bookings open in early December.

Selfguided tours: Irish secondary schools (1st – 6th years), Youthreach and Training Centres, accompanied by their teacher or facilitator, can visit MoLI free of charge for a self-guided tour. Book here

Free Scavenger Hunt resource sheets and pencils are available at reception for young people to find the weird and wonderful around the museum and gardens, and are also downloadable here. A Teachers Guide for self-guided second level tours is available here.

All programmes are delivered in line with our MoLI Child Safeguarding Statement and our Online Safeguarding Statement.
