Join us on Friday, 3 October, for First Fridays! The museum will be open late from 6pm until 9pm, with free admission and special events throughout the evening.

6.00pm-9.00pm | Exhibition
Happy Ever After: Falling in Love with Irish Romance Fiction
Discover our newest exhibition, which explores the forgotten history of Irish romance fiction – from Lady Morgan and Kate O’Brien to Maeve Binchy and Marian Keyes.

6.15pm–8pm | Workshop
Says Who?
Creative writing workshop for adults with Kevin McDermott. Exploring the roots of creativity in memory and spoken language. No experience necessary.

6.30pm–8pm | Workshop
Write Stuff!
Spoken word workshop for teenagers (15-19 years) with Leon Dunne. No experience necessary.

7pm | Discussion
Novel of the North
A focus on contemporary novels from Northern Ireland with writers Wendy Erskine and Gráinne O’Hare, with literary scholar Nathalie Lamprecht.

Please note that the previously advertised reading by Dave Tynan has been postponed, and will be rescheduled for the new year.
