Visit MoLI’s newest exhibition, Wild Earth, an exploration of Irish writers and the natural world through time, featuring poetry and prose from the sixth century AD to the present day.

Echoing Ancestors: Dr Daithí Kearney
This presentation brings together poetry, music and song inspired by memories of and research into Siamsa Tíre, the National Folk Theatre of Ireland. Drawing on his experience as a performer with Siamsa Tíre, Dr Daithí Kearney explores the legacy of past generations through creative practice, reflecting on how the ghosts of the past live on in performance, reinvention and representation.
Ethnomusicologist, geographer and performer Dr Daithí Kearney is a lecturer in music, theatre and tourism and co-director of the Creative Arts Research Centre at Dundalk Institute of Technology. A published poet and songwriter, commissioned composer and experienced performer, he has toured regularly as a musician, singer and dancer, including with Siamsa Tíre. His research and creative practice explore Irish traditional music, dance and community arts.

Oisín Fagan
Award-winning author Oisín Fagan discusses his latest novel, Eden’s Shore, exploring the themes and ideas at its heart. The evening will feature a reading from the novel, followed by a conversation and Q&A.
Oisín Fagan is the author of the collections of stories Hostages and Nobber, his debut novel, which was longlisted for the Desmond Elliott Prize, shortlisted for the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize, and named a Book of the Year by The Guardian and The Daily Mail. His second novel, Eden’s Shore, was published in April 2025, named a Book of the Year by The Guardian and longlisted for the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction.
