Writers Anna Carey and Patrick Freyne will discuss the role music plays in their lives and work, drawing on Ireland’s rich musical heritage and the wider world. This discussion will explore the intersection of music and literature, examining how one art form can inspire the other and how music continues to inform the creative work of Irish writers.

Caterina Schembri and Daragh Fleming
Live performances of music by Caterina Schembri and poet Daragh Fleming followed by a brief discussion placing text, literary motifs and musical composition in dialogue with each other, and exploring how they have found a new resonance in contemporary Ireland.
