MoLI announces new partnership with PwC

Friday, 7 March 2025

MoLI and PwC are delighted to announce a brand new partnership, which will see PwC sponsor MoLI’s monthly First Fridays series. One of MoLI’s most popular programmes, First Fridays features late opening (6pm to 9pm) on the first friday of every month, with free admission and a kaleidoscopic range of events across the museum each evening.

First Fridays’ programming is diverse and inclusive, ranging from readings, talks and spoken word, through to film screenings, music and dance – each evening a vibrant celebration of creativity and ideas. Through PwC’s generous support, MoLI can continue to offer free entry to the public on First Fridays every month, reaching thousands of visitors each year.

Previous First Fridays events have featured a broad range of both established and up-and-coming artists, speakers and performers, including writers Sue Rainsford, Emer McLysaght, Louise Nealon, Rob Doyle, Adam Mohamed; musicians Hannah Miller, Ellie O'Neill and Larissa O'Grady; visual artists Sarah Browne, Manal Mahamid, Salvatore of Lucan and Holly Oliveria; and speakers such as Sinéad Walsh (Ireland's climate envoy) and Sabrina Dekker (DCC Climate Coordinator).

Upcoming First Fridays events will feature a new exhibition on Oscar Wilde’s De Profundis, poet Grace Wilentz (7 March), DJ Sunil Sharpe speaking about the Give us the Night campaign (7 March), artist Hannah-Clare de Gordun (4 April), writer Clara Kumagai with biwa player Thomas Ranjo (2 May), writer Sara Baume (6 June) and a talk by ecologist and writer Pádraig Fogarty (6 June).

Speaking about PwC’s support of First Fridays, MoLI’s Director, David Cleary, said, “We are so grateful to PwC for recognising the value of First Fridays to the cultural life of this city, and for sponsoring such an important strand of our programming.”

Danielle Cunniffe, PwC Partner, said: ‘At PwC, supporting diverse talent to achieve their potential is a top priority. We are equally committed to supporting the Arts & Culture sector, recognising its significant impact on society and our communities. Our partnership with MoLI’s monthly First Fridays series perfectly aligns with our brand values, and we extend our best wishes to all the artists for great success in the upcoming events.”
